MKB Rotterdam Rijnmond

MKB Rotterdam Rijnmond is a foundation that ensures that the business climate in the Rijnmond region is as optimal as possible. With more than 800 members and partners this is made possible. Networking events took place throughout the year, often with the same companies and people. To change this, the MKB Member Festival was developed and produced by VKOZ in 2018. We chose the Sparta Stadium as the location. We had the entire building at our disposal, with the registration on the ground floor, the reception room on the first floor with a view of the football field and the entire top floor for the workshops.

A varied programme enabled members to network, share inspiration and gain knowledge. Workshops could be followed on current topics such as staf, finances, growth, tendering and automation. These were given by members or partners of MKB in different rounds. Participants could also have a business speed date with Jack Kriek, participate in a pub quiz with Michel van Keulen and have their own pancake printed by Sander van Mook! This allowed the participants to put together their own programme. VKOZ also created the ‘MKB Networker of the Year Award!’, which award was given at the end of the event.

The event ended with a networking drink during the moment when the new SME magazine was launched. The new networking event was a great success due to the high attendance and energy that was present. In addition, it was inviting that people came into contact with each other, which we achieved the goal of the event: attract more sleeping members. That is why the event now is organised annually.
